RnB #6 with Cover Girl Elle Varner

 

Putting together this issue was not one of the easiest things to do but it was done with pleasure as we strive to bring you the hottest New Voices and introduce to you Cohen Robinson and why he writes music. We give you the familiar voice of Jasmine Nichol and learn what it is that she plans on revamping in RnB. We also want to introduce you to the soulfoul blends of Tuac (pronounced Tuck) just the spelling and pronunciation of his name alone had me interested in what he had to say and trust me you don’t want to miss that!
We also had the chance to catch up with Brooke Valentine and what she’s been up to since she last released an album as she informs us that she’s back, forever. We found out that RnB music still has a meaning as we chatted it up with Dez and learned that he is not looking to change the game but revamp the feeling that RnB music used to bring. True RnB lovers miss the feeling, so we appreciate you Dez! Then we give you a refill of Elle Varner, as we get to know her a little bit better. RnB Mag can’t get enough of her! We took a trip down memory lane as we give you history on the Hippest Trip in America: Soul Train and its founding father Don Cornelius, just in time for the Soul Train awards which is scheduled to air simultaneously on Centric and BET on November 25.
To keep your mind fresh and to educate you, we go back in time as we revisit events that occurred with RnB music and artists during the month of November taking you back several years. Our RnB idol this go around would be the late great Gerald Levert, a true American Idol. RIP good brother, tribute shows have not been the same since you’ve been gone we miss your originality and singing style, you can’t be replaced and you are truly missed.
Everyone gets busy with their everyday life and RnB magazine will always continue to remind you the importance of giving back by saluting an artist who Makes A Difference through charities of their own or those that they participate in. This month we spotlight The Greenhouse Foundation founded by Ce Lo Green and his sister Shedonna Alexander as they strive to educate the children the importance of taking care of their community and the environment.

Risque Curves Mag #3 with Kip Force

 

This is the third issue of Risque Curves Magazine and we have really pushed the limit and our resources to put out a top notch product.. We feel that this issue is our best issue to date…. I am not surprised by this being the best issue to date only because that’s the goal we have with our staff… to just keep making the upcoming issue better than the last we just released… also in this issue we went all over the country to choose the models…. We have models from the big apple (NY), Florida, Texas and a few from our home base California. We had amazing photographers send in work to choose from but we were only able to use a few because with this issue we really wanted to displayed the direction in which Risque Curves magazine is headed and to fit in our issues wet theme. We are all about putting out a quality product from top to bottom, from the images to the writers, from the products to the dating tips, form the knowledge to the awareness. all of these thing together we feel makes a will rounded magazine and we plan to keep improving on what we have built so far. Our main goal is to be a real go to guide for the urban man on all levels from the streets to the boardroom but yea that’s the goal and I’m going to end this letter on that…but before I end it, I want to give big shout outs to DonnBG Photo (Donbgphoto.com), Paul Cobo Photography (paulcobophotography.com), 306 Media (306MG.com) and Gregory at PNB Photography (pnbphotography.com). This year FGM Magazine is taking it a step further partnering up with The Xperience to give you an amazing HOLIDAY FASHION FIX at the exclusive BLVD 3 in Hollywood, CA on November 30th. FGM Magazine’s HOLIDAY FASHION FIX is a fashion show that will give you a snapshot of what’s to come for the Spring while helping you make that decision for that perfect gift during the holiday’s.  While entering the HOLIDAY FASHION FIX partygoers will be able to make a child happy by donating a toy to foster homes and shelters in the Los Angeles area.  So make sure you bring a toy with you.

FGM Magazine created the “Fashion Fix Series” as a collaboration of what is in our pages, the minds of designers, and the “that’s hot to wear” from the tastemakers. You’ve gotten into it with everyone from 40 Glocc to Ice Burgundy. Do you think you’ll ever outgrow those beefs now that you’re more religious?

I be beatin these *iggas up. It ain’t like I wake up and walk outside looking for a *igga to fight. You know, I just be chillin’. These problems sort of find their way right up on me, and I sort of just have to deal with them consciously and wisely. I try to make better decisions, you know, on how to stray away from drama and all of that, but if it’s right in my face, I’ma defend my honor, and I’m probably gonna win every time.

You recorded the 40 Glocc fight on your iPhone. Were you caught in the moment or had you planned that ahead of time?

That shit was funny, right? Like I said, man, they just don’t be ready. I feel like I walk outside, and it say “coward” on my forehead. I don’t know why I’m the *igga *iggas always wanna try. I don’t know. Like I said, I just deal with the problems when they arise. I try to put them to bed as fast as possible.
